 yOU CAN TOO

Caitlin Clark signed with Gatorade and we had the honor of announcing it. #22 was once inspired by Maya Moore, a former Gatorade athlete. Now, it’s Clark’s turn to inspire. If Caitlin Clark can do it, YOU CAN TOO.

Like Clark, the video broke records resulting in 3.1 billion earned impressions + 29,787,962 IG plays (and counting). The spot performed so well, Gatorade aired the social video on TV during Caitlin’s last Iowa home game. ESPN baby! It was the most-watched women’s college basketball game ever.

There’s more... Gatorade loved the line “You Can Too” so much, the brand turned it into a tag line and platform for all of their NCAA women’s basketball efforts, including a manifesto video to share Paige Bueckers’ comeback story. Even through season ending injuries, Paige let’s others shine with her light.

 KAT’S

Where do teen athletes get Gatorades in the big city? The bodega, “YA HEARD!”

To fuel Karl Anthony Towns (a Gatorade athlete) through the Knicks 25-26 season we tapped into NYC culture, KAT's Dominican roots and Towns’ fan given nickname, transforming a deli into a bodega fit for “The Big Bodega” himself.

Playing the manager, Towns interacts with teen hoopers and Chico, the imaginary grill man, for social videos that are unapologetically New York.

Here’s the intro…

Next up, we celebrated KAT’s 6th NBA All-Star appearance… you know, the usual.

Chico! Playoff KAT dropped a triple dub, so we dropped this.

Time to sweep up shop, Knicks went 4-0 twice!

A moment for the bodega set.

Now, a moment for the championship (🥹). On the day of the parade, we took KAT’s off the feed and onto the block with a special bodega inspired cart. From the cart we handed out orange and blue Gatorades in partnership with NYC’s iconic camera crew: Sidetalk.

 TATUM’S RETURN

When Tatum, a Gatorade athlete, tore his achilles one of the NBA’s brightest entered the darkest period of his career. He had to start over, but through perseverance, grit and sweat the NBA champ finally put his jersey back on. It’s a moment we shared in a simple, yet empowering vignette. Tatum is finally back to his roots. Back to himself. Back to Zero.

‘TWas The night Before NBA Christmas

What’s the best part of Christmas? To basketball fans it’s NBA Christmas Day and Hennessy is the league’s official spirit. That’s why on Christmas Eve we made fans even more excited for the holiday with our own version of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.

Stirrers and SHakers

On International Women’s Day we toasted to women who are shaking up the status quo a.k.a. the “stirrers and shakers.” Cheers to them!

Hennessy x HIP HOP 50

Hennessy is the most mentioned spirit in Hip Hop, so for the genre’s 50th anniversary the brand celebrated REAL BIG with the “Rep Yours” campaign. It commemorates Hip Hop as expression, so at the brand’s 50th soiree we found a way for guests to express themselves, turning music fans into superstars overnight. We created Hennessy A.I.bum covers, personalized AI album covers (custom CD cases with coasters) from a Hip Hop region and era of choice for guests to take home.

All guests had to do was head to a kiosk, select a region, select an era, grab props and pose in front of a backdrop. AI and our skeleton crew (including the talented photographer Jeremy Cohen) took care of the rest. It was a platinum hit.

And the hits kept coming. We created a digital version, so Hennessy fans at home could create their own personalized album covers on a microsite.

If you think this is cool, we wish you could have seen the unreleased version powered by Midjourney—how the idea was originally intended and sold in. We had to shut it down right before the launch due to new AI legal guidelines (ethical AI). Years later, we still love the idea, so we (I mean Xach Branch) created our own with the same copy for literally a fraction of the 2023 production price.
